Start the New Year, 5778, with a mellow stroll and also a Tashlich ceremony.
We will follow a paved walk around Tempe Town Lake. Along the way we can pick a nice spot to “Throw our sins away” with a short ceremony. Steve and Jan will bring along the Tashlich ceremony, but you will need to bring your favorite bread. If interested, we can all gather for a nice lunch afterward on Mill Avenue.
As long as you want. The total distance around the lake is about 3 miles (Priest to Mill). Some can do less if wanted as there are many options with benches along the way.
Wear good sturdy shoes, have sunblock, hat, and a minimum of 1 quart of water.
Our Annual NAMI Walk at the Arizona State Capitol to get some exercise, raise awareness for Mental Health, and raise funds for a great organization.
Donations are NOT necessary but always appreciated.
Our walk can include a 5K (3.1 mi) and a 1.2 mi walk along the streets of downtown Phoenix.
Location details will be given later.
REMEMBER to wear good sturdy shoes and have sunblock, a hat, and a minimum of 1 quart of water.
